Bought some BTC to send to Ukraine. My exchange asked me for name of recipient. I told them it is for Ukraine’s defence and pointed them to appeal made from Ukrainian government’s verified Twitter account. Still they insisted on the name of recipient and my relationship with recipient, and warned about scams, money laundering, etc. In the end I gave up, dug out my Trezor and sent from there instead.
Bloody FATF!
