I want to have an address to send btc to over time with the wallet stored in a remote location. Should I

  1. Make an electrum wallet, write down the 12 word seed, save one address, the delete the wallet from my computer. I can send btc to the address over time and then when I am ready to get into it I can re download electrum then type in that seed.

or

  1. Create a paper wallet from walletgenerator.net and encrypt it with a password and send btc to this address. Then when I am ready to withdraw just sweep the paper wallet with the key.

What are the pros and cons to each and how much btc would you feel comfortable in storing on these?
