I’ve been researching what it takes to enter into the crypto ATM business and one of my options is to become a Bitbox franchisee. The main advantage with going this route is that Bitbox would handle all of the compliance associated with operating my fleet of ATMs. In exchange, Bitbox takes 2 percent of total transactional volume as well as a huge markup on the Genesis machines you’re required to use. The company has been in business for about 2-3 months, they have 6 franchisees signed up as of last week, but they haven’t setup any machines yet.
Has anyone heard of this company before? Anyone considering becoming a franchisee? Ultimately, I think I’ll pass as I feel they’re asking too much and don’t have the history to back it up. But I’m curious what others think, maybe I’m missing something.
